Zhou Xun is a one of the "Four Dan actresses" (四大花旦) during the year 2000, along with Zhang Ziyi, Xu Jinglei and Zhao Wei. Not just acting Zhou Xun is also a singer and a model.

She is the winner of best actress award in Hong Kong Film Awards, 2006 and won many other awards like Golden Bauhinia Awards, Golden Horse Award, Hundred Flowers Awards. Some of her movies are The Flying Swords of Dragon Gate, The Great Magician, The Silent War, Cloud Atlas.
